In March 2023, Irina Kulitane, the AgroDev Project manager, visited Kyrgyzstan to coordinate and discuss current and forthcoming management and sustainability related issues with the partner universities: Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I.Skryabin (KNAU) and Naryn State University (NSU). At both partner universities the project manager visited laboratories equipped with the equipment acquired within the project, reviewed project documentation, greeted students taking part in the pilot teaching. Other issues: the planned guest lectures of professors strengthening the publicity of the project and dissemination of the knowledge and materials obtained were also discussed.
At the KNAU the project manager met with the vice rector for academic affairs Prof. Almazbek Irgashev and at the NSU with the rector Mr. Ermek Baybagyshov. Sustainability of the AgroDev project results and ideas for joint future initiatives were discussed. Study literature, acquired for the KNAU, was handed over to KNAU. It contains the latest knowledge in the disciplines of agronomy, zootechnics, veterinary medicine and other fields. Naryn State University had organised a master class in food technology, and students presented innovative products they have created.
Both universities have made a significant contribution in the field of education and training of qualified personnel for the agricultural and food sectors.
