From June 20 to 23 workshop involving all AgroDev project partners is ongoing in Naryn State University (Kyrgyzstan). On the first day of the event representatives of the partners met with Prof. Adilbek Jantaev, vice rector for research and Prof. Egemberdi Moldaliev, and got acquainted with academic and research activities of the university.
At the first day the event was continued with joint sessions, aimed to analyse quality and results of pilot teaching and training of the academic staff in teaching methodologies, identify created added value, relevance of knowledge to the agro-industry needs, as well lessons learnt, challenges faced and set up recommendations for sustainability and follow-up activities. The second day includes evaluation of academic staff training in thematic, master classes, study visits and field training.
The first findings have highlighted the most valued results and impacts. For example increased skills of academic staff to apply in lectures the latest teaching methods and create and use in teaching process contemporary tools: video, online tests etc; knowledge on food quality systems, zero waste production and other thematic areas, and skills to make curriculum contemporary and attractive by laboratory and practical works.
In the following days participants will assess other capacity building measures. Such as application of the quality assurance methodology and sustainability of the results. All findings and proposals will be merged in the joint report on capacity building measures results and impact.
