April 8, 2021 at Naryn State University and Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after I. K.I. Scriabin (KNAU) held a “workshop of national academia, industry and government in Kyrgyzstan” in the offline and online format. The seminar was held within the framework of the project: ” Development of Higher Education Content aimed to Support Industries for Sustainable Production of Qualitative Agri-food” (AgroDev).” in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The aim of the workshop is to familiarize and evaluate the scoping analysis to identify preconditions and issues that need to be considered when developing new training modules for agriculture-related curricula. During the seminar, presentations were made on the following topics:

  • About the AgroDev project;
  • “NSP” Good Agricultural Practice and Global G.A.P .;
  • Institutional conditions necessary for the implementation of the Global G.A.P. in Kyrgyzstan.

The coordinators of this project also presented the results of the analysis that should be taken into account when developing new training modules for training programs related to agriculture for discussion for the participants of the seminar. And discussion of the readiness of the sector and agricultural enterprises for the development and implementation of Global G.A.P. and approaches to sustainable management.

The seminar was attended by:

  • Representative of Hilfswerk International, Umed Aslanov;
  • Representatives of higher educational institutions of Central Asia and European countries (Uzbekistan, Latvia, Poland, Sweden);
  • National Coordinator of the Erasmus + office in Kyrgyzstan Chokusheva Gulnara;
  • Teaching staff of KNAU and NSU involved in the AgroDev project
