November 11, 2020 at the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University. K.I. Skryabin (KNAU) took part online in an introductory meeting within the framework of the project “Development of Higher Education Content aimed to Support Industries for Sustainable Production of Qualitative Agri-food” (AgroDev).
The meeting was attended by representatives of 4 partner countries – universities: University of Agriculture in Krakow (Poland), Linnaeus University in Sweden, Latvian University of Natural Sciences and Technologies, Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin, representative of cooperatives in the Kyrgyz Republic, Naryn State University, Samarkand branch of Tashkent State University of Economics, Tashkent State Agrarian University, Hilfswerk International – coordinators for Central Asia.
KNAU named after K.I. Skryabin represented by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Doctor of Veterinary science, Professor A.Sh. Irgashev, Dean of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor. Asanaliev A.Zh, head of the department of international relations named after prof. Balyana G.A. Tolobekova A.M., Head of the Department of Education Quality, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor I. Zh. Alykeev, Chief Specialist of the Department of Postgraduate Studies, Doctoral Studies, Master’s and International Educational Programs, Acting Associate Professor, Ibraeva N.M., senior lecturer at the department of technology, processing of agricultural products Kaparova E.B., leading specialist of the department of international relations, Ph.D. Nurgazieva A.R., as well as representatives of the Union of Cooperatives in Kyrgyzstan and the Association of Dairy Farming “Kyrgyz-sut”.
Purpose of the project: to modernise agro-industry related higher education thus promoting implementation and effective management of sustainable agro-food production systems in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
During the meeting discussed proposals for a detailed analysis of needs and inventory of appropriate training programs in the participating universities.
At the meeting, a detailed study of the following modules: good agricultural practices in the production of vegetable and animal products, sustainable environmental management and agro-industrial complex. The content of the project, the goal, the approach, the time frame to us.
